Tooshy Tuesday Part Deux

What Will You Do Today...

I've lived in LA for a year now, and looking back there are so many things I did and didn't do. I was able to score a job, take classes, do standup, do some sketches, make friends and make some mistakes. I wanted to quit my day job months ago and was unsuccessful in doing so, so in the next couple of months I have decided to put all of my efforts in finding a legitimate job. So many people have told me that because I have a degree in theatre it will be hard finding a job. Perhaps, but I'm only allowing positive energy into my search. And perhaps the people that are saying that are bitter because they got a degree in business and are still unemployed. Regardless, a year from now, I'll have a satisfying job, maintained friendships, a growing career and happy heart. What do you to inspire your goals?

Things That Make Me Smile

Making My Week

1. Simon Doonan's book, Eccentric Glamour. Influences include Amy Sedaris, Edie Sedgwick and Debbie Harry.
2. Sweet Potato Fries. I'm addicted and that's okay, because all I've been wearing lately are my leggings. And sometimes even as pants.
3. She & Him Volume Two. Zooey is cute and M. Ward is awesome. I prefer Volume One, but In The Sun is a fun, summery track.
4. My mom bought me this YSL perfume for Christmas and I'm taking advantage of it by ridding of my coffee and sweet potato smell.
5. Audrey sleep mask. I've been using this all week to pretend I'm glamorous when tossing and turning. And also to hide from my mirrors that are beside my bed.
6. Jill Scott's new album. Pretty good, but nothing gets better than Volume One. Very produced and more hip-hop.
7. Starbuckz Iced Coffee with a pump of peppermint. This will have to suffice until they get pumpkin back in.
8. Horchata. My boyfriend is Mexican and introduced me. I'm really into it because it's not as bad as soda. Probably not. I still drink it.
9.  Davines shampoo. Worth the extra money. All organic ingredients and it smells like you wanna actually put on real clothes and do your hair.
10. Dionne Bromfield's new album. Amy Winehouse's protege and niece. Adorable, great sound and amazing voice.
11. Buddha. Nuf Said.
12. Benetint. I put this on my lips when I wanna feel sassy.
13. Leggings. My daily/nightly/morning wear.
14. Strangers with Candy starring Stephen Colbert, Amy Sedaris and Paul Dinello. I can't get enough and it's all on Netflix instant. Rejoice!

Tooshy Tuesday

I came to a different Starbucks than I usually do because I wanted a change of scenery but I probably should'nt have chosen the one smack dab in the middle of West Hollywood on Melrose. There are so many people here bitching to their agents and a guy next to me sexting an unidentified person. I have begun my Buddhist journey attending my first study meeting. Tonight I have my Groundlings and then tomorrow I have another district meeting to chant and discuss readings. Today has been a pretty good day minus the 250 dollar ticket we got for leaving trash on the side of our apartment. Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo. Because I have no arse, I will pretend boys wanna look at my with these pictures.

Playful Pup

Okay seriously: This is one of the cutest dogs. I need this as my "happy service animal." Those actually exist. Courtesy of Tumblr.

Teacups

Just realized that Starbucks now carries my favorite tea, Vanilla Rooibus. If you've never had one of their latte's you're missing out my friend. I want to drink one out of the teacup below.

Bri Emery

One of my favorite bloggers, Bri Emery always has the most amazing graphic designs. She has awesome style, creates darling websites and has a great sense of humor. Girl crush for sure. Check out her blog, read it, and save some of the pictures for your own viewing pleasure.

Kitty Cat Celebration

Let me preface this by saying I think cats are creepy. They have weird long talon nails, weird eyes and creep-like tendencies. Aside from all of that, put a collar and some confetti around them and I will begin to warm up to the idea of thinking they're cute. This spoiled kitty was thrown an elaborate party for its birthday. I don't want him, but I want the owners so they can celebrate my everyday of life with cake, balloons and flowers. I am up at 4:00 in the morning being a manic mess, going on a blogging rampage. Tonight I have my Groundlings class and cannot wait for the adventure. Hope everyone is having a great day. If you're interested, you can shop the party favors here on Etsy.

Twins

Diane Arbus is one of my favorite photographers because she catches the perfectly poised freaks in an instant with her lens. Twins have always been in my top five of freaky followed by battery powered cigarettes, bluetooths, Mormons, and Calamari. Check out the wonderful website of Tabitha Emma to find more weird photos.
