Mmm, Avett Brothers. If you don't know who they are- get there. Rooted from North Carolina, these guys are folk/rock/country/pop at its best. Their latest album was produced by Rick Rubin, they are the nicest guys in town and are genuinely talented. If you ever get a chance to see them live, I strongly suggest. Enjoy!

1. I didn't really catch the stacked gold jewelry trend until recently when I got a chunky gold watch. I like the juxtaposition of delicate bangles with heavy chains, allowing basics (skinny jeans, turtleneck, etc) some flair. I've always loved big rings, especially on my pointer finger. These would all suffice.
2. Oxfords: Yeah, I had a pair two years ago when they first became trendy again, and never wore them. I'm willing to give them a go around with tights, full skirts and a sweater. Maybe even those high socks. Zooey Deschanel ain't go nothin on me.
3. I have been wanting an envelope clutch for the LONGEST TIME and now for fall, leopard seems more than appropriate. American Apparel has some cute ones, but I'm looking for one with a big more pizazz- any suggestions?
4. Knee High Socks: always a favorite. They're perfect with boots, but I've gotten a little bit more adventurous and worn them with my brown booties. How do you style yours?
5. I finally need to wear a scarf in LA! I'm WAY too excited about it. Banana Republic always has the best ones, plus the quality of them is superb.
6. Mac's Ruby Woo Lipstick: Since dying my hair auburn, I've been really into wearing darker makeup. This is my go to red- it stays on all day, is a perfect matte substance and looks great on fair skin.
7. Jeffery Campbell T Strap Wedges: Kinda pricey, but I think I'm willing to dish out the cash for a pair of these pretties. Dresses, skirts, maybe even cut off jeans if I'm feeling sassy? Super versatile, plus I've heard they're actually kind of comfortable.
8. Essie Forrest Green Polish: Essie hands down makes the best polish. It lasts, shines and comes in the best shades. As a newfound ginger, I'm embracing green with open arms.
Fallin'
Well, I adore fall more than any other season, and recently, LA has changed it's perpetual 70 degree weather to a chillier, scarf wearing 60. I love this city, but miss seasons. North Carolina, you are still my heart. I found these cute little diy masks just in time for halloween that you can print using this link. Happy Wednesday!

Song of the Day
Ooh, love my some Laura Marling. Her soft, haunting voice only makes this cold, fall day more mysterious. And by mysterious I mean working, camping out at Starbucks and wearing boots. Her two albums are awesome. If you don't know her. Get there. Now.

Song of the Day
I'm sure a lot of you know about Janelle's latest album, The Arch Android, but before that she was still rockin the androgynous black and white get up, pompadour hair, and soulful moves. This girl knows how to move a crowd. Definitely on repeat today!

Apartment Therapy
I recently moved into a new apartment, and now that I have complete control of it, there are so many design options I want to explore. A leather couch, modern lamp and poufs add a bit of sophistication, while the Jonathan Adler pillows and rug add a dash of quirk. I need a new duvet and shower curtain and I've found that the Urban Outfitter companies (Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters) always have the best selection. Plus they're significantly more affordable than places like Crate and Barrel or Z Gallerie. The only things missing are my beloved Voluspa candles, a turntable for some sounds and an old school Nintendo for game nights. C'est Voila!
